Assessment, progression, academic integrity and appeals at The University of Edinburgh — the public regulations employers and partners ask for.

Scope
These regulations apply to credit-bearing awards taught by The University of Edinburgh on edinac.uk. Campus teaching is at Old College, Edinburgh. Online teaching is Scottish Global Access. They do not create a United Nations or government partnership.

Assessment
Modules are assessed by written work, oral viva where required, and identity-checked examinations. Mastery checkpoints replace unused lecture hours. Teaching language is stated on the programme specification.

Progression and awards
Credit, level, and learning outcomes are published in the programme specifications. An award is conferred when the board of examiners confirms that the outcomes have been met.

Integrity and appeals
Plagiarism, impersonation, and unauthorised assistance are academic offences. Students may appeal on procedure, not on academic judgement, within the published calendar.
