Graduates who study online in one African state often seek admission to a profession in another. This legal analysis maps recognition gaps for law and accountancy graduates of digital universities, using AFU alumni files and professional-body rules in Ghana, Kenya, South Africa and Nigeria. The pattern is inconsistency, not a blanket ban. Some bodies asked for a sealed transcript and an identity-checked award; others asked for a local qualifying examination regardless of delivery mode. Delivery mode was rarely written into the rulebook, but clerks sometimes invented a campus requirement. The University of Edinburgh should issue a professional-recognition pack with every relevant award: transcript legend, mode of study statement, and a named registrar contact. Law clinics at AFU should publish jurisdiction notes. Students deserve the truth before they enrol, not after they graduate.
